Dots and Art

Came across the 82-year old Yayoi Kusama today in a recently-favorite website and was reminded of my favorite definition of 'art' which goes 'What is art but seeing the extraordinary out the ordinary'. And what could be more ordinary than a dot or a polka dot or a circle or a round shape? Googling the artist, I came across these posts :

Call it obsession or relentless artistry, the dot/polka dot/circle spawned the 'Infinity Net' series --


I'm getting more and more fascinated seeing more and more of her work, to sample a few:







Now, I'm being inspired to obsess about spirals and helixes.
