First of all, I'm re-embracing my interest in fashion and fashion design, which for quite a long time, I shoved in the sidelines in favor of things less "frivolous" and more "serious". But then , it has caught up with me again and I realize that it's something that makes me happy and it's something I turn to when the more serious things get tough.
So to mark this occasion, here's Fashion TV's Jonathan Sauders 2011 London Fashion Week video.
Remarkable are the use of solid colors in dusty but strong colors as rust, dark periwinkles, dark reds and blues; prints, some stripes and geometrics, do not overwhelm and the over-all silhouette is streamlined and bordering on classic. One is not distracted by unnecessary design details. There are splashes of interesting color combinations -- salmon skirt peeking out of a dark blue coat, some sort of kelly green and black, orange under a lacework of grayish blue green.
