First World Philippines under God

This is to start off anew my vision of a prosperous and good-to-live-in Philippines -- 'First World Philippines under God' ... an ideal I know , but I no longer want to be oppressed by its seeming impossibility. I've marched and worked with the activists during martial law days , I've vigiled at polling centers and at EDSA, I've voted in elections, I've ranted against corrupt and ineffectual government officials and politicians, I've chosen to work in government, I manage my garbage , pay my taxes... and except for the fact that democracy or what passes for it has been restored and that the American bases are no longer physically here , I still see more poor people, I still see power-hungry and corrupt politicians , I still see pollution and degradation of the environment, etc . , after more than thirty years .... As an individual, one can only do so much and too little... as an individual , I do not want to despair for this country. As an individual, I want to dream and envision still ... And I want to dwell more on whatever evidences and vignettes of prosperity and abundance , I see in my daily life. Naive ? Maybe, but I'd rather be naive/idealistic than desparing,defeated and negative. And we thought of and started taking photos of those. Above are the first batch....
