Roots and Wings

Centripetal and centrifugal ..... roots and wings .....To quote from the reflections I've just read this morning : " We must hold on to the center, to the core of our faith: relationship with Christ. This relationship is the rock that fastens all the changes in our life brought about by sincere desire to respond to the needs and signs of the modern world. " The centripetal force that holds one together, our roots is our faith and belief in God, in timeless and absolute values that affirm human life, belief in the good in ourselves and in life. From this center that holds one together , one can then take wings outwards (the centrifugal force ) and meet the challenges of daily life ... explore and experience everything , soar to the heights of progress and achievement and personal growth..., Whew !!! That was one reflection, by a priest, that I read this morning... Heavy but true and riveting....
